WHAT I BELIEVE
Justice is Your Legal Right
I’m Attorney Charles Ford, and I am hoping to serve you as a Judge on the Cobb County Superior Court!
Justice is your legal right—and I intend to help ensure that from the bench.
I have been licensed as an attorney since 1989, representing the interests of both victims and those charged with violations.
Superior Court Judges for Cobb County preside over 20,000 cases per year, including the most serious criminal offenses (felonies), civil disputes, real estate matters, and family & domestic relations issues.
My educational and professional legal background, along with my life experiences, make me especially well-suited to serve the cause of justice in Cobb County as a Superior Court Judge.
Let me cut to chase and try to answer the question which is probably uppermost in your mind: “What kind of judge would Charles Ford be on the Superior Court?”
First and foremost, I will be a fair and impartial arbiter. A good “referee” between plaintiff and accused, between lawyers for the defense and those for the prosecution.
I will scrupulously follow our laws and will be devoted to properly interpreting them. I will not legislate from the bench. Rather, I will always try and discern truth. As the great 19th-century British politician Benjamin Disraeli once said: “Justice is truth in action.”
As your next Superior Court Judge, I will be committed to ensuring that everyone coming before me on the bench is treated equitably and with respect. Most certainly my first responsibility will be to uphold the laws of the great state of Georgia. But I am also concerned about people—victims and the accused.
I am a steadfast believer in restorative justice, the notion that our courts should get redress for those who have been wronged – and affect positive change for lawbreakers. That, I firmly believe, provides the greatest benefit to society.
